Vancouver Hotels

Vancouver's Downtown is a wonderful place and very convenient for cruisers.

Here is a listing of the reported Priceline Hotels:

Vancouver Downtown:
4* - Westin Bayshore Marina Hotel, Sheraton Suites LeSoleil, Hyatt Regency, Pacific Palisades, Metropolitan Hotel, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, Marriott Pinnacle, Delta Vancouver Suites
3* - Coast Plaza Suite Hotel, Sheraton Wall Center, Renaissance Vancouver, Crowne Plaza Vancouver, Sandman Hotel

On Hotwire, many of the hotels have also been identified.  For Vancouver, Hotwire splits up the Downtown area into three  zones - Downtown Vancouver West is the most convenient for cruisers, though Downtown Vancouver Entertainment District and Downtown Vancouver South can also be used.

In the Downtown Vancouver West zone, 7 hotels have been identified.

Vancouver is fortunate to have two 5* properties which are identifiable on Hotwire  The first is the Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver.  Comfortably identifiable through its icons which are:  Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Hi-Speed Internet, Business Center, Spa.  At this time, the Internet icon is the defining feature.

The other 5* is the Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver.  This property is newly upgraded from the 4.5* level, so know it might re-appear at the 4.5* level sometime in the future.  Amenity icons are:  Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center, Golf Course Nearby, Spa.  The key difference to differentiate this property is the Golf Course Nearby.

At the 4.5* level the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Center appears.  The amenity icons are Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Hi-Speed Internet, Business Center, Spa

Also occupying the 4.5* level is the Westin Bayshore.  Currently showing the Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center, Tennis Nearby and Spa icons, it has also been reported with a Resort and Shuttle icon.  The key to differentiating this property seems to be the Tennis Nearby icon.

First up at the 4* level is the Pacific Palisades Hotel.  Amenities shown are Boutique, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Kitchenette, Spa and Laundry.

The Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle Hotel is also a 4* in this zone.  The icons are fairly generic, with Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center.  So be careful on this identification.  It's likely, but others may share these icons.

Terminal City Club Tower Hotel is the final 4* in the West zone.  Identification is easily made with the Boutique, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Kitchenette, Spa.  The Kitchenette is what sets this property apart.

Also nearby to the port is the Vancouver Downtown Entertainment District zone.  There are a number of excellent hotels in this zone worthy of consideration.

Topping the list at the 4.5* level is the Westin Grand.  Excellent hotel which shows Suite, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Kitchenette and Business Center icons.

The 3.5* Crowne Plaza is another identified property.  Look for the Restaurant, Fitness Center, Hi-Speed Internet, Business Center amenities.

Three 3* properties round out the list in this zone.  The Executive Hotel Downtown Vancouver displays Shuttle Bus, Restaurant, Fitness Center, Business Center, Tennis Nearby and Spa icons on Hotwire.

Holiday Inn Downtown Tower & Suites is the next 3* property offered in this zone.   Look for the Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center and Laundry icons.

Finally, there is a 3* Residence Inn Vancouver Downtown.  An extremely easy identification since it has a large number of distinctive icons:  Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Complimentary Breakfast, Kitchenette, Hi-Speed Internet, Laundry.
